Jared Carmel holds extensive experience in investment banking, business operations, acquisition integration and board work. Currently serving as a Managing Partner with Manhattan Venture Partners, Jared helps to provide liquidity and diversification for investors, employees, and entrepreneurs in illiquid high profile private companies through secondary direct stock sales.
His career began at Laidlaw & Company, where he focused on alternative investments and secondary offerings with public companies seeking growth capital. Jared Carmel later transitioned to AEFC, taking a position as Senior Vice President for Venture Capital. During his time at the firm, Jared spearheaded the establishment of a New York office, ultimately raising over $100 million per year in the IT, green energy, and technology sectors.
In 2010, Jared Carmel shifted his business focus from traditional Venture Capital to Secondary Markets. He has led numerous transactions in the space, supplanting traditional venture capital investments for a diversification of shareholders’ assets. In his current position as Managing Partner at Manhattan Venture Partners, Jared Carmel allows entrepreneurs to unlock needed capital which provides unique access for investors to participate in an attractive asset class.
Jared holds a B.A. from the University of Buffalo’s School of Informatics, as well as FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.
